Shape Language_By Moebius
Primitive beings explore a deconstructed world in early stages of evolution.
In this case, the word ‘primitive’ is played on what artists and designers call primitive shapes and also primitivity in the sense of belonging to an ancient period, where visual art was very simplistic in nature. Art from these eras often depicted simple movements, creatures and natural elements from the world that surrounded the creators. This piece stems from a similar inquiry but is expressed through the digital primitive shapes of our visual culture today. Sequential frame-by-frame story-telling is another facet of early visual art and inspired by that, this piece revolves around a sequence that depicts a character in motion that stumbles, unravels and then puts itself back together, ending up back at the first frame, and continuing this cycle forever.
